Research Center IntroductionBifei Membrane (BFMEM) jointly establishes a research center with the School of Environmental and Chemical Engineering, Dalian Jiaotong University. The center focuses on ultrafiltration, nanofiltration, reverse osmosis, gas separation and other research directions, possessing independent R&D and technological innovation capabilities. It owns a professional research team and solid research foundation capable of competing with international peers. The overall technological level of research and industrialization has reached international advanced standards with distinctive technical advantages in multiple key research fields. Equipped with a mature system for scientific and technological achievement transformation, the center is capable of converting research achievements into practical productivity and solving critical technical problems in membrane engineering application.
Centering on customers’ application demands in resources, environment, energy, biomedicine and other fields, the research center gives prominence to the characteristics of hollow fiber membranes and develops high-performance and functional separation membrane technologies. Oriented toward international standards and high-end technology, the center strives to build an industry-university-research institution with distinct features and sound mechanisms, and continuously advance membrane science and engineering technology.
The research center has established complete instrument platforms for water quality analysis, membrane material preparation and characterization, as well as membrane application and performance evaluation. It is equipped with experimental facilities including polymer membrane preparation equipment, plasma grafting modification devices, high-temperature quenching hot-stage microscopes, Fourier transform infrared spectrometers, gas chromatographs, high-performance liquid chromatographs, total organic carbon analyzers, inductively coupled plasma spectrometers, miniature RO/NF/high-pressure UF units, membrane separation performance testing devices, separation membrane performance evaluation devices, differential scanning calorimeters, dielectric spectrum analyzers, scanning electron microscopes, and transmission electron microscopes.
